1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Serious Scratchers ("the Service"), operated by Serious Scratchers LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Serious Scratchers provides data-driven rankings and analytics for scratch-off lottery tickets. We aggregate publicly available data from official state lottery websites and present computed metrics such as expected return rates, probability estimates, and composite scores.

We do not sell lottery tickets. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any state lottery commission or organization.

3. No Guarantee of Winnings

Scratch-off lottery tickets are a form of gambling. Our rankings, scores, and analytics are informational tools designed to help you make more informed decisions. They do not guarantee any outcome, profit, or return. Past performance of any game metric does not predict future results. You acknowledge that all lottery play involves risk of loss.

4. Accounts and Subscriptions

Some features require a registered account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.

Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe. You may cancel at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.

5. Data Accuracy

We make reasonable efforts to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of our data by scraping official state lottery websites regularly. However, we do not guarantee that data is error-free, complete, or current at all times. State lotteries may update their data on varying schedules, and there may be delays between when a prize is claimed and when it appears in lottery data.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to scrape, crawl, or programmatically access the Service without authorization
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service's infrastructure
• Share your account credentials or subscription access with others
• Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit our data without written permission

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, rankings, scores, and analytics methodology, is the intellectual property of Serious Scratchers LLC. Raw lottery data is sourced from public state lottery websites. Our computed metrics, scoring algorithms, and user interface are proprietary.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Serious Scratchers LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits or lottery losses, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

10. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, by email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in Los Angeles County, California.
