WAUnderstanding Data Quality
Each state lottery publishes prize data differently. Some provide comprehensive machine-readable data with daily updates. Others require complex scraping of dynamically rendered pages. Our grade reflects both completeness and reliability.
- A+A+ / A grades mean the state provides complete, highly reliable data. All metrics — rates, scores, probabilities — are accurate and updated regularly.
- A-A- grades indicate complete data with minor caveats (e.g., unverified update timing or top-tier-only remaining counts). Rankings are fully reliable.
- B+B+ grades mean the data requires extra processing (like OCR) or has partial fields. Rankings within the state are reliable, but cross-state comparisons have minor caveats.
What This Means For You
For states with A+, A, or A- grades (Tier 1: Full Coverage), our rankings, rates, and scores are highly reliable. You can confidently use them to compare games and find the best value tickets.
For states with B+ grades (Tier 2: Partial Coverage), rankings within the state are still useful for finding relatively better games. Cross-state comparisons should be taken with a grain of salt.
If your state isn't listed, we don't have data for it yet. Visit our States page to see which states are available or join the waitlist for upcoming states.
